Congratulations to EUMETSAT for the successful launch of MetOp-B polar-orbiting satellite

Metop-B was successfully launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on a Soyuz 2.1a rocket the 17 Sept. 2012. Photo credits: EUMETSATKRATOS – INTEGRAL SYSTEMS EUROPE (KISE) congratulates EUMETSAT for the successful launch of MetOp-B polar-orbiting satellite.

EUMETSAT operations team will be using KISE’s EPOCH software suite for the MetOp-B satellite control. MetOp-B’s role is to ensure continuity of observations from polar orbit which are vital to Numerical Weather Prediction– the basis of modern weather forecasting as well as climate and environmental monitoring.

Packet Utilization Standard (PUS) integration with Integral Systems' Epoch IPS

EPOCH IPS (EPOCH Integrated Product Suite) COTS  product is in compliance with ESA’s (European Space Agency) PUS (Packet-Utilization Standard) for Satellite Control Systems and EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment).
